Plot Twist: Your Designer Has a Business Degree
I’m Danelle—the founder, designer, and brand strategist behind Willow Creative Studios.
For over a decade, I’ve been rooted in visual art—painting, photography, film, and more. Creativity has always been second nature for me. But it was my business degree and background in marketing that changed how I saw the work. I realized that even the most brilliant creatives were being overlooked, not because of lack of talent, but because their brands weren’t pulling their weight.
Creative entrepreneurs with real skill and ambition, stuck behind branding that didn’t match who they’d become. I’ve always lived at the intersection of art and business, and helping others bridge that gap became the work I couldn’t stop doing.
This studio was built to help you step into the version of your brand that finally feels aligned—with your talent, your goals, and the clients you know you're meant to reach.

2019
I graduated with a business degree and landed my first job in digital marketing. I lived in a tiny apartment, barely enough space to sleep, but just enough room for a laptop. That’s when digital design became the new canvas. I started making brands and websites for fun, not knowing yet that this could be a career.

2022
I took a job at a creative company in NYC and started working closely with photographers, stylists, and personal brands. I saw the same thing over and over—wild talent, but no real brand foundation. That disconnect stuck with me.

2024
I took everything I’d learned—my business background, marketing chops, and firsthand experience as an artist—and turned it into a studio built for people like me.

2010s
I fell in love with visual art—painting, photography, and film. I didn’t know where it would lead, I just knew I had to create. Art was the constant, even when everything else shifted.

2020
The world went digital. Everyone had time. I had curiosity. I spent lockdown buried in design—playing, learning, building brands without realizing I was building a future. And through it all, I kept my 9–5, watching how real marketing moves.

2023
Burnt out, underpaid, and tired of waiting to be discovered—I decided to build a real business. I pulled together everything I had: my marketing experience, business degree, creative skills, and turned it into something intentional

In kindergarten, I was convinced I’d grow up to be a plumber. Honestly, still a solid career choice. Shoutout to the trades.

I don’t trust sloths. I am convinced they’re pretending to be slow while secretly plotting world domination. One day, they’re just going to sprint—and I fear I will be the only one who was prepared.
